
Baseline Ventures has entered into a joint venture with globally renowned talent management firm SeventyTwo Sports Group to manage one of India’s most promising young tennis talents – Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi.
16-year-old Maaya, has been making headlines in junior as well as senior tennis circles for some time. Her performance at the recent WTA 125 event in Mumbai not only gained national attention but also gained her global recognition as she became the youngest ever Indian player to earn a WTA ranking. She is now scheduled to play at the prestigious Wimbledon Juniors, starting tomorrow.
What began as a hobby at the age of 8, quickly turned into a serious passion, with her talents gaining the attention of the Rafa Nadal Academy offering Maaya a scholarship to train in Spain. Maaya trains full time in Spain under the tutorage of Rafa Nadal and his expert team at the academy.
Known for her all-court game, Maaya is an exciting prospect who likes to win on her own terms. A powerful and entertaining player with a variety of skills and weapons who is fully equipped to compete at the highest levels of the professional game.
