The UP Warriorz have been among the most followed WPL teams in the last couple of years. Owned by Capri Sports, the UP Warriorz are delighted to announce a strategic partnership with Baseline Ventures for Season 3 of the highly successful WPL.
Over the last decade, Baseline Ventures’ knack to sign on the right strategic partnerships for athletes and facilitating sponsorship deals for sporting properties in India & globally has been well documented.
The partnership brings the spotlight on Capri Sports and Baseline Ventures’ vision to help grow the sporting ecosystem in India, with a special focus on elevating the profile of women’s sports in the country. Since inception, UP Warriorz has been championing the drive to open up more doors in the world of sports for women and have seen some of their youngest players produce memorable performances on the field of play.
And adding further bite to the initiative is Capri Sports’ partnership with Baseline Ventures who are among the pioneers in terms of athlete representation for women in sport. As two driven and enthusiastic forces join hands, there is potential and scope for a major positive impact in the sphere of women’s sports and women’s cricket.

In the first couple of seasons of the WPL, the UP Warriorz have been captained by the Australian Alyssa Healy, with the squad including players like Deepti Sharma and Sophie Ecclestone. In the opening season of the WPL, the UP Warriorz finished third, while in the next edition, Healy and co came in at fourth.
Young Indian players such as Shweta Sehrawat, Vrinda Dinesh, and Parshavi Chopra have been among the brightest spots for the team that is dressed in the eye-catching yellow and purple uniform.
